David Whyte
Owner
David, a Lansing, Michigan native, accepted a golf scholarship to play for Augusta State University from 1984 to 1986. He also developed a strong interest in competitive bass fishing during this time. With his friend Derrick Bridges, they won two major bass tournaments in 1992 and 1999 along with 3 new Ranger Boats. Now hooked on boating and fishing, in 2003 he found an opportunity to purchase a boat dealership. Under his leadership Augusta Marine has grown to the largest and most successful dealership in the surrounding eight counties.

David Allen Annis
Sales Manager, Honda Technician
David has lived in the Augusta area since birth. He has 38 years experience in the boating industry. David has sales and service training in Honda, Mercury, and has been certified as an Evinrude Master Technician. He had a 25 year career competing in power boat racing, winning numerous races including four National Championship titles. An active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and a Sunday school teacher, David enjoys fishing with his grandchildren.

Brenda has been actively involved in the boat business for over 10 years. She excels in customer service. Brenda is married to Gerard Doolittle and has 2 daughters, Brittany and Ashley.

Cory Leary
Service Administrator
Cory hails from Jacksonville, North Carolina and has lived in Harlem, Georgia since the age of seven. He began his service experience here in 2008. Service training includes Yamaha, Mercury, and BRP-Evinrude. His sports include football, baseball and softball. Cory loves water sports, particularly wake skating. He also likes to grill out and throw parties.

Melissa Britt

Melissa has been part of the marine industry since 1995. While only 18 years old she disassembled and rebuilt her first outboard motor. After school she began her career as parts department manager at another area dealership until May of this year. She is married to Phillip Britt and is the mother of 4 daughters.

Doug Borgner
Rigging Department Manager
Doug has the longest service with Augusta Marine, beginning here in 1990. He is a Mercury certified service manager. Doug is also Evinrude certified and is both a Mercury Outboard and Mercruiser certified technician. Doug's hobbies include high performance boating, especially drag racing.

Brian lives in Grovetown, Georgia and has lived in the Augusta area for over 37 years. Since 1989 he has completed service training and is a certified Mercury, Yamaha, BRP-Evinrude, Motorguide, Force and Mercruiser technician.

Forrest resides in Plum Branch, South Carolina and has lived in this area for over 45 years. Since 1998 he has completed training and is certified in Mercury,Yamaha, BRP-Evinrude (MASTER TECHNICIAN), Motorguide, Force and Mercruiser technician. His main hobby is fishing.
